Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin installation, ensure your mini-split condenser and air handler are properly mounted. Before connecting the lines, verify that the unit is compatible with the provided 3/8-inch sizing. When routing the tubing, avoid sharp 90-degree bends that could restrict refrigerant flow; instead, use a tubing bender to create gentle radii. Once the lines are routed, tighten the flared nuts using a torque wrench according to the manufacturer's specifications for your specific AC unit. Finally, wrap all exposed fittings with the provided weather-resistant tape to maintain the integrity of the insulation. Regularly inspect the insulation for tears or gaps after major seasonal weather changes to ensure system efficiency.
