FAQs
Are these shoes truly 100% waterproof?
Yes, the On Cloudhero Waterproof features a 100% waterproof membrane specifically designed to keep feet dry and comfortable in rainy conditions, puddles, and wet environments.
How do the speed toggle and stretch laces work?
The speed toggle allows for quick and easy adjustment of the laces. Push the toggle down to loosen and slide the laces, then pull the toggle up to secure the laces in place, providing a snug fit without needing to tie knots.
What kind of activities are these shoes best for?
These shoes are ideal for active juniors engaged in various outdoor activities, including running, playing, walking to school, and exploring on rainy days. Their waterproof feature makes them particularly suitable for wet weather conditions.
How should I clean my On Cloudhero Waterproof shoes?
To clean, gently wipe the shoes with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dirt. For best results, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat. Avoid machine washing or using harsh chemicals, as these can damage the waterproof membrane and materials.
What is CloudTec cushioning?
CloudTec is On's signature cushioning technology, featuring individual 'cloud' elements on the outsole. These clouds compress upon impact to absorb shock, then firm up for a powerful push-off, delivering a soft landing and responsive ride.
Are these shoes suitable for all seasons?
While designed primarily for wet conditions and often favored in cooler, wetter seasons like autumn and winter, their breathable membrane allows for comfortable wear in various seasons, providing year-round protection against unexpected rain.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel wet inside after being in rain.
First, ensure the speed laces were tightened sufficiently to prevent water from entering around the ankle. Check for any visible tears or damage to the shoe's upper or waterproof membrane. Also, confirm that socks are not wicking water into the shoe from above the ankle line.
Difficulty getting the shoes on or off.
Ensure the speed toggle is fully pushed down to release the laces, creating the widest possible opening. If the laces feel stiff, gently work them through the toggle a few times to loosen them. For small feet, a shoehorn might also assist.
Slipping or lack of grip on wet surfaces.
While Missiongrip offers excellent traction, extreme conditions (e.g., ice, very slick mud, or polished surfaces) can still be challenging. Ensure the outsole is clean and free of embedded debris like small stones or dirt, which can reduce grip. Always exercise caution on wet terrain.
Shoes feel too tight or uncomfortable.
Loosen the speed laces using the toggle and readjust for a more comfortable fit. Ensure the foot is properly seated within the shoe. If discomfort persists, verify the size is correct, as children's feet grow quickly.

Care
> Info needed: [Specific care instructions are not provided in the product description. Below are general recommendations for waterproof athletic footwear.]
- Cleaning: After use, especially in muddy or dirty conditions, gently wipe the exterior of the shoes with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dirt and debris. For tougher stains, a mild soap solution can be used.
- Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as high heat can damage the waterproof membrane and other materials.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Avoid Immersion: While waterproof, excessive immersion in water (e.g., leaving submerged in a puddle for extended periods) or machine washing is not recommended, as it can degrade the materials and waterproof properties over time.
- No Harsh Chemicals: Do not use bleach, strong detergents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can harm the shoe's materials and waterproof capabilities.
