Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but not overly tight. Start from the bottom eyelets and work your way up, pulling laces snugly through each. Double-knot for added security during play.
- Break-In: Like all football boots, these require a break-in period. Wear them for short periods during training sessions initially to allow the synthetic upper to mold to your foot and prevent discomfort during a match.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Firm Ground/Multi-Ground (FG/MG) outsole, making them suitable for:
- Firm Natural Grass Pitches: Ideal for dry to slightly damp natural grass surfaces.
- Artificial Grass (New Generation): Can be used on modern 3G/4G artificial turf pitches, but always check pitch regulations as FG boots can sometimes be discouraged on older artificial surfaces.
They are not recommended for very soft, muddy pitches or hard ground/concrete surfaces.
Care
Proper care extends the life of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, wipe off excess dirt and mud with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh brushes that could damage the synthetic material.
- Stud Cleaning: Use a small brush or tool to remove any debris from between the studs to maintain optimal traction.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources (like radiators or in direct sunlight) as this can cause the material to crack or deform.
- Odor Control: Remove insoles to air out if possible. You can use shoe deodorizers or natural odor absorbers to keep them fresh.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid storing them in a damp kit bag for extended periods.
