FAQs

What size cushion insert do I need for this cover?

You will need a 45 x 45 cm cushion insert for this cover. Homescapes offers suitable inserts separately.

Can I wash the cushion cover with other items?

No, for best results and to maintain colour integrity, the cushion cover should be machine washed separately at 30 degrees Celsius.

What is crushed velvet?

Crushed velvet is a type of velvet fabric that has been processed to create a creased or crushed textured effect, giving it a unique, iridescent, and shimmering appearance.

Are there other colours available?

Yes, this crushed velvet range is also available in dark grey, silver, and cream, with matching curtains in champagne.

What is the difference between the 45x45 cm and 60x60 cm sizes?

The 60x60 cm size is a larger square cushion cover, suitable for creating a fuller look or for use as a larger statement piece compared to the standard 45x45 cm size.

How should I iron this cushion cover?

If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting. It is best to iron on the reverse side to protect the crushed velvet texture.

Troubleshooting

Cushion cover appears flat or loses its shape.

Ensure you are using a good quality cushion insert that is the correct size (45x45 cm). A plump insert will help maintain the cover's shape and the crushed velvet's texture.

Colour fading or damage after washing.

Ensure the cushion cover is washed at the recommended 30 degrees Celsius. Avoid harsh detergents and always wash separately. Check that the insert was removed before washing.

Zip is difficult to close or open.

Gently pull the fabric away from the zipper teeth before attempting to move the zip. Ensure no fabric is caught in the slider. If the zip is damaged, contact customer support.
