Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your jacket remains waterproof and effective for years to come, follow these care guidelines:
- Cleaning: Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a non-biological detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can degrade the waterproof coating.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators. Tumble drying on a very low heat can sometimes help reactivate the DWR coating if instructed by the garment label.
- Re-proofing: Over time, if water stops beading off the surface, apply a specialized DWR spray treatment to restore the fabric's water repellency.
- Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger in a cool, dry place to maintain the shape and allow the insulation to remain lofted.
