Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Initial Fit: Due to the laceless design, these boots will feel snug initially. It's recommended to wear them for short periods during light training sessions to allow the Fusionskin leather and PRIMEKNIT tongue to adapt to your foot shape.
- Putting Them On: Use the pull tabs at the heel and tongue (if present) to carefully slide your foot in. The PRIMEKNIT collar is designed to be supportive yet flexible.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This includes natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp. They are not recommended for:
- Artificial Grass (AG)
- Soft Ground (SG)
- Indoor (IN)
- Hard Ground (HG)
Using them on incompatible surfaces can lead to premature wear, damage to the soleplate, and reduced performance or traction.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, gently wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Use a soft brush to clean dirt from the studs and soleplate. Avoid harsh cleaning agents.
- Drying: Air dry the boots naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hairdryers), as this can dry out and crack the leather.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled paper inside to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Leather Conditioning: Periodically apply a leather conditioner specifically designed for football boots to keep the Fusionskin soft and supple, preventing cracking and extending lifespan. Follow the conditioner's instructions.
- Deodorizing: Use boot deodorizers or simply air them out after use to prevent odor build-up.
