The adidas Terrex Skychaser Solo is a versatile hybrid approach shoe tailored for climbers and hikers who demand precision and agility on technical terrain. It balances rugged durability with lightweight comfort, making it an excellent choice for long approaches to the crag or steep hiking trails. While its focused design excels on mixed surfaces, users should note that the low-profile construction provides less ankle support than traditional high-cut hiking boots.

The Terrex Skychaser Solo is designed for breathability and is not waterproof. They are best suited for dry or mild weather conditions.
They are 'approach' shoes, meaning they are designed for the journey to the climb. While they have excellent grip for scrambling, they are not intended for vertical rock climbing.
Use a soft brush and water to clear out any small stones or caked-on mud from the tread pattern.
They generally fit true to size for standard hiking footwear, but we recommend trying them on with the specific socks you intend to use for hiking.
If you notice a decrease in cushioning or if the antimicrobial properties seem ineffective, the OrthoLite insoles can be replaced with aftermarket versions.
Re-tighten the lower sections of the extended lacing system to ensure the midfoot is securely locked in place.
Try a 'runner's loop' or 'heel lock' lacing technique using the top eyelets to secure your heel further back.
Remove the OrthoLite insole, wash it in mild soapy water, and let it air dry completely before reinserting.
To ensure your shoes perform optimally, adjust the extended lacing system before every hike; pull the laces firmly through the lower eyelets to achieve a lockdown fit that prevents heel slippage on steep descents. These shoes are compatible with standard hiking socks, though thinner, synthetic socks are recommended to complement the moisture-wicking properties of the insole. After use, remove the OrthoLite insole to allow it to air dry separately, which helps maintain hygiene and longevity. If the shoes become muddy, brush off dry debris and clean the upper with a soft-bristle brush and lukewarm water. Avoid machine washing or drying, as high heat can compromise the integrity of the rubber and adhesives.
