Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper preparation and care will ensure your dress looks its best for every occasion.
Setup
- Unpacking: Upon receiving, carefully unpack the dress and hang it immediately on a padded hanger to help release any transit wrinkles.
- Steaming: To remove wrinkles and creases from the satin fabric, use a garment steamer on a low setting. Hold the steamer a few inches away from the fabric and move it steadily downwards. Avoid direct contact with a hot iron, as this can damage satin. If ironing is necessary, use a very low heat setting with a pressing cloth.
Compatibility
- Footwear: Given the 155cm floor-length design, choose strappy heels or elegant pumps that provide the appropriate lift to prevent the hem from dragging.
- Undergarments: Seamless undergarments are recommended to maintain the sleek silhouette of the satin fabric. Consider a strapless or adhesive bra to complement the V neckline and back detail.
- Accessories: Delicate jewelry, such as stud earrings or a fine bracelet, will complement the dress without overpowering it. A small, elegant clutch is ideal for carrying essentials.
- Hair: A classic updo or swept-back hairstyle is highly recommended to highlight the unique bow back detail.
Care
- Cleaning: Due to the delicate nature of satin, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended to preserve the fabric's luster and drape. If hand washing is necessary, use cold water with a gentle detergent specifically for delicates. Do not wring or twist the fabric.
- Drying: Lay flat to dry on a clean towel or hang on a padded hanger, away from direct sunlight or heat.
- Storage: Store in a breathable garment bag in a cool, dry place to protect the satin from dust, snags, and environmental factors. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
