Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting Up Your Watch
Setting the time and date on your Emporio Armani Sportivo AR5920 is a straightforward process:
- Set the Date: Pull the crown out to the first position. Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending on the specific movement) until the correct date appears in the date window. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM as this can interfere with the internal date change mechanism and potentially damage the watch.
- Set the Time: Pull the crown out to the second (outermost) position. Turn the crown to move the hands clockwise until the correct time is displayed. Push the crown back into its normal, closed position to start the watch.
Compatibility
This watch is designed as a standalone accessory and does not require compatibility with external devices or software.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your watch:
- Cleaning the Band: The white silicone link bracelet can attract dirt and oils. Regularly clean it with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent discoloration or build-up.
- Cleaning the Case and Crystal: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the rose gold plated case and mineral crystal. For smudges, a slightly damp cloth can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials which can damage the plating or crystal.
- Water Resistance: While resistant to 50 meters, avoid exposing the watch to hot water, steam (e.g., showers, saunas), or direct high-pressure water jets, as this can degrade the seals. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
- Storage: When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent material degradation.
- Battery Replacement: The Japanese Quartz movement is powered by a battery. When the watch starts losing time or stops, it's time for a battery replacement. We recommend having this done by a qualified watchmaker to ensure proper sealing and battery type.
