Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use
- Unpack: Remove the trainers from their packaging.
- Initial Check: Inspect for any manufacturing imperfections.
- First Fit: Ensure the trainers fit comfortably without being too tight or too loose, allowing room for growth and movement. Consider using thin socks for the first few wears to help with the break-in.
Compatibility
These versatile trainers are compatible with a wide range of infant clothing, from casual play clothes to more dressed-up outfits. They are suitable for various indoor and outdoor activities that do not require specialized athletic footwear.
Care & Maintenance
- Wipe Down: For everyday dirt, wipe the leather surface with a damp cloth.
- Mild Soap (Optional): For tougher stains, use a small amount of mild soap (like saddle soap) diluted in water. Apply with a soft cloth, then wipe clean with a separate damp cloth.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the leather.
- Drying: Air dry the trainers away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not put them in a dryer.
- Conditioning (Optional): Periodically, a leather conditioner suitable for footwear can be applied to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. Follow the product's instructions.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Stuffing with paper can help maintain their shape.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, remove the insoles (if removable) and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers.
