Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Hotter Rustle boots remain in peak condition, follow these guidelines:
- Initial Protection: Before the first wear, apply a leather-safe water-repellent spray to protect against light rain and salt.
- Routine Cleaning: Remove surface dirt with a soft, dry brush. Use a slightly damp cloth to wipe down the leather, then allow it to air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators.
- Conditioning: Apply a leather cream every few months to prevent the material from cracking or drying out.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees can help the boots maintain their shape while not in use.
- Lining Care: If the faux fur lining becomes damp, stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture from the inside out.
