Troubleshooting

Sofa bed mechanism is stiff or difficult to operate

Check for any obstructions around the hinges and locking points. Ensure the sofa is on a level surface. Gently lubricate the moving parts of the mechanism with a silicone-based spray if necessary.

Uneven seating or sleeping surface

Verify that all legs are securely tightened and the sofa is sitting level. Ensure cushions are properly positioned and plumped. Check the integrity of the zig-zag springs.

Fabric shows wear or pilling prematurely

Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment to remove surface dust. Avoid placing the sofa in direct sunlight, which can fade fabric. Use a fabric shaver carefully if minor pilling occurs.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup: The Astoria Sofa Bed typically requires minimal assembly. Upon delivery, unpack all components and check against the provided parts list. The main structure is usually pre-assembled, with components like the feet needing to be attached. Ensure all screws are tightened securely but avoid over-tightening. The click-clack mechanism should operate smoothly after initial setup.

Compatibility: This sofa bed is designed to fit seamlessly into most home environments, particularly those with a contemporary aesthetic. It is suitable for living rooms, guest rooms, or even studios. Ensure you measure your intended space to confirm the dimensions (H:90.0 x W:162.5 x D:97.0 cm) will accommodate the sofa comfortably, both in its sofa and bed configurations.

Care: To maintain the appearance and longevity of the fabric, regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment is recommended. For spills or stains, use a clean, damp cloth and mild soap solution. Blot the affected area gently rather than rubbing. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents. Rotate cushions periodically to ensure even wear. Ensure the click-clack mechanism is kept free from debris to maintain smooth operation.
