FAQs

What type of pitch are the New Balance Furon V8 Elite FG boots suitable for?

These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) football pitches. Using them on other surfaces may compromise performance and durability.

Does the wear on the soleplate's lacquer finish affect performance?

No, the wear on the lacquer finish is a cosmetic effect and does not impact the performance or structural integrity of the boot.

How do I clean my Furon V8 Elite FG boots?

Clean them with a soft brush or damp cloth after use. Avoid harsh detergents and ensure they air dry naturally away from heat sources.

What is the benefit of the Hypoknit upper?

The Hypoknit upper features mapped knit zones that provide distinct textures for enhanced ball control, aiding in accurate dribbling and application of power or finesse.

How does the lacing system contribute to performance?

The offset lacing system, along with an extended strike zone, is designed to optimize boot-to-ball contact for more precise passing and shooting.

Are these boots suitable for players who rely on speed?

Yes, the Furon V8 Elite FG is engineered with a focus on speed, featuring a lightweight soleplate and specific stud configuration for rapid acceleration and agility.

What is the purpose of the Speed Control Stud?

The Speed Control Stud is an additional stud at the rearfoot designed to provide enhanced ground control, particularly during sharp braking and directional changes.

Troubleshooting

Boots feel uncomfortable or tight.

Ensure you have selected the correct size. Wear the boots for short periods to allow them to break in. Check the lacing for an appropriate level of tightness; avoid over-tightening.

Reduced traction on the pitch.

Ensure the studs are clean and free from debris. Confirm you are using the boots on an appropriate firm ground surface. Worn studs may require replacement.

Lacquer finish on soleplate wearing off.

This is a normal cosmetic effect of wear and tear on firm ground boots and does not affect performance. Continue to use the boots as intended.

Hypoknit upper feels stiff.

The Hypoknit material is designed to offer support. Continued use will allow it to conform to the foot's shape. Ensure the laces are adjusted correctly to allow for natural foot movement.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Initial Setup:

These football boots are designed for immediate use upon purchase. Ensure you select the correct size for optimal fit and performance. It is recommended to wear them for a short period before a match to allow them to mold to your foot.

Compatibility:

Surface: Specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) football pitches. Use on artificial grass, hard ground, or wet, muddy surfaces is not recommended and may lead to reduced performance or damage to the boots.

Care Instructions:

Cleaning: After each use, remove excess dirt and mud using a soft brush or a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight, as this can damage the materials.
Storage: Store the boots in a cool, dry place, ideally in a breathable boot bag, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Lacquer Finish: Note that the lacquer finish on the soleplate may wear off during play. This is a cosmetic effect and does not impact the boot's performance or structural integrity.
