FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for long-distance running?
The Zoom Skylon is best suited for daily movement and short-to-medium distance road running.
Can I put these trainers in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the adhesive and structural integrity of the leather and mesh materials. Hand cleaning is recommended.
How do I ensure the best fit?
These trainers fit true to size. Ensure you have about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe.
Are the materials waterproof?
No, the breathable mesh upper is designed for airflow and is not waterproof.
What is the purpose of the flex grooves on the outsole?
The flex grooves are designed to mimic the natural movement of the foot, allowing for a more flexible and comfortable stride.
Troubleshooting
Visible dirt accumulation in the mesh upper
Use a soft brush to gently knock out dust and wipe with a lightly dampened cloth.
Sensation of reduced cushioning
Check if the midsole foam has compressed over time; prolonged daily use may eventually require a replacement for optimal support.
Reflective strips losing brightness
Ensure they are clean from mud or residue, as reflective materials require a clear surface to function correctly in low-light conditions.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Nike Zoom Skylon trainers last, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Routine Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove dry dirt from the mesh and leather surfaces. For deeper cleans, use a mild soap and cold water solution on a cloth, then air dry away from direct heat sources.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place to prevent the breakdown of midsole materials. Avoid leaving them in extreme heat, such as inside a car, which can warp synthetic components.
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are adjusted to provide a secure fit across the arch without being overly tight, which could restrict blood flow.
- Compatibility: These trainers are designed for standard road surfaces and gym floors; they are not optimized for loose gravel or technical trail terrain.
