Advantix Spot On Solution is designed for dog owners seeking a comprehensive, multi-parasite defense system for their medium-sized dogs weighing 4-10kg. This topical treatment acts as both a lethal agent against existing fleas and ticks and a powerful repellent against mosquitoes, sandflies, stable flies, and lice. While it provides an essential defensive barrier, owners must be aware that it is strictly for canine use only and should never be applied to cats, as the ingredients can be toxic to them.

No. Advantix is strictly for dogs and contains permethrin, which is extremely toxic to cats.
For optimal protection, it should be applied once every four weeks.
It is generally safe for puppies from 7 weeks of age, provided they meet the minimum weight requirements for the specific dosage.
Advantix kills fleas on contact, meaning they do not need to bite to be affected by the treatment.
Always consult your veterinarian to choose the correct size based on your dog's exact weight to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Wait at least 48 hours after application before bathing or letting your dog swim to ensure the product has fully absorbed into the skin oils.
Wash the area with mild soap and water to remove excess product and consult your veterinarian.
While waterproof, the product needs time to spread through the skin oils. If washed off within 24 hours, contact your vet to determine if a re-application is necessary.
To apply, ensure your dog is standing comfortably. Part the fur between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette directly against the skin and squeeze firmly to empty the entire contents of the tube onto one or two spots. For compatibility, ensure you select the correct weight range (4-10kg for this specific variant) to ensure the dosage is safe and effective. Avoid letting the product enter the dog's eyes or mouth. Keep treated dogs away from cats until the application area is completely dry, as the medication is highly toxic to feline companions.
