FAQs
What are the adidas Santos Football Socks best suited for?
These socks are primarily designed for training sessions, practice, and general football activities. Their simple design and durable construction make them ideal for regular use.
Do these socks help keep shin guards in place?
Yes, the high shin style and fold-over top are specifically designed to provide support and stability for shin guards, helping to keep them from shifting during play.
Are these socks available for adults too?
The specific variant described (MPN: 4067891993251) is listed for infants. However, the adidas Santos line generally includes variants for adult age groups as well. Please check product listings for adult sizes.
How should I wash these socks to ensure they last?
For best longevity, machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle. Air dry or tumble dry on a very low heat setting. Avoid bleach and high heat drying to preserve elasticity and color.
Do these socks offer any special cushioning or moisture-wicking features?
The product description highlights a 'simple design and construction.' While they offer basic comfort and durability for training, advanced cushioning or specialized moisture-wicking technology is not explicitly mentioned as a primary feature.
Troubleshooting
Socks keep slipping down during play.
Ensure you have the correct size. The high shin style and fold-over top are designed to secure the sock. Make sure the fold-over is snug over your shin guards. If issues persist, consider trying a smaller size if your current pair feels loose.
Discomfort or chafing around the calf or ankle.
Check that the socks are pulled up smoothly without wrinkles. Ensure your shin guards are positioned correctly and not digging into your leg. If discomfort persists, inspect the sock for any seams or loose threads that might be causing irritation.
Socks losing elasticity or becoming baggy.
This often happens with excessive heat. Always wash in cold water and air dry or tumble dry on the lowest heat setting. Avoid high heat dryers, which can damage the elastic fibers over time.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting the most out of your adidas Santos Football Socks is straightforward.
Wearing Your Socks
- Pull Up Fully: Start by pulling the sock fully up your leg until it reaches the highest point below the knee.
- Position Shin Guards: Place your shin guards over your shins, underneath the sock. The high shin design of the sock will help hold them in place.
- Fold Over Top: Carefully fold the top cuff of the sock down over the top edge of your shin guard. This helps to secure the guard and provides a neat, classic look. Ensure the fold is smooth to prevent discomfort or pressure points.
Compatibility
- Shin Guards: These socks are designed to be worn over standard football shin guards, offering support and stability.
- Football Boots: Compatible with all types of football boots, providing a comfortable layer.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the comfort of your socks:
- Machine Wash Cold: Always wash socks in cold water. This helps prevent shrinking and maintains color vibrancy, especially for the blue color.
- Gentle Cycle: Use a gentle or delicate cycle to protect the fabric and elastic fibers.
- Do Not Bleach: Bleach can damage the material and fade colors.
- Tumble Dry Low or Air Dry: For best results and to preserve elasticity, air dry your socks. If using a dryer, select the lowest heat setting. High heat can damage elastic and cause premature wear.
- Do Not Iron: Ironing is unnecessary and can damage the synthetic fibers often used in sports socks.
