Wipe away dirt with a damp cloth. Ensure the shoes are dry before applying any leather care products.
The Dr. Martens 1461 shoes are made from Crazy Horse leather, which is a natural-type leather with a worn, distressed appearance.
The shoes have a PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) sole.
Wear the shoes for short periods initially. You can also use leather softeners to help the process.
It is recommended to use products specifically designed for waxy, oily leathers, such as Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam.
Goodyear welt construction is a durable method where the upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, increasing the shoe's longevity.
While the shoes offer some water resistance, they are not fully waterproof. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain.
Apply Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam or a similar leather care product to rehydrate the leather.
Allow for a break-in period. Wear the shoes for short periods initially to allow the leather to soften and mold to your feet.
Avoid dragging your feet when walking. Consider professional sole repair if necessary.
