FAQs

Are these shoes machine washable?

It is recommended to clean these trainers with a damp cloth rather than using a machine, as machine cycles can compromise the structural integrity of the nylon.

Are these suitable for wide feet?

The standard fit is designed for typical children's foot widths; however, the nylon material offers some flexibility.

What is the primary material used?

These trainers are primarily constructed with durable nylon to provide a balance of strength and weight.

Can these be worn for gym class?

Yes, they are suitable for general physical education activities and playground play.

Do these come in different sizes?

Yes, the Flutter Heart series is available in various children's UK sizes ranging from 1 to 13.

Troubleshooting

Shoes feel tight after a growth spurt

Check the available size variants in the Flutter Heart series to determine if a larger size is required.

Nylon surface looks dusty or dirty

Use a soft-bristled brush to gently remove loose dirt before wiping with a damp cloth.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Lightweight feel promotes all-day comfort
  • Durable materials handle playground wear well
  • Attractive pink and blue design
  • Easy for children to wear for various activities

Cons

  • Not intended for high-intensity professional sports
  • Requires careful cleaning to maintain the nylon exterior
  • Specific sizing limited to children's foot ranges

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Skechers Flutter Heart Trainers, keep the following tips in mind:

  1. Fit Check: Ensure the child is wearing appropriate socks to maintain a proper fit and prevent blistering.
  2. Cleaning: Wipe away dirt with a damp cloth. Because they are primarily nylon, avoid soaking the shoes or using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the fabric and colour.
  3. Air Drying: Always allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can warp the material.
  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to maintain the shape of the trainer and keep the colours bright.
