FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

No, the Samba Jane is designed as a lifestyle trainer and does not provide the cushioning or support necessary for running.

How do I ensure the best fit?

This model is true to size for a UK 9. If you plan to wear thick socks, consider if you prefer a tighter or looser fit.

Can I put these in the washing machine?

It is not recommended. Machine washing can damage the materials, adhesives, and gold accents. Stick to hand-cleaning.

Are they waterproof?

The materials are not inherently waterproof. Applying a standard water-repellent spray can help protect against light rain.

Does the gold detail fade over time?

With proper care and by avoiding harsh abrasive cleaners, the gold finish is designed to remain intact for the life of the shoe.

Troubleshooting

Outer material shows scuffs or markings

Use a specialized cleaning eraser or a soft cloth with mild soapy water to gently buff out surface marks.

Laces becoming loose during wear

Consider using a double knot or replacing the laces with textured flat laces for better friction.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Versatile design that complements casual and semi-casual styles
High-quality construction from a reputable brand
Stylish gold accents provide a unique, sophisticated finish
Classic, timeless silhouette that never goes out of fashion

Cons

Not intended for high-intensity athletic activities
Black material may show dust or lint more easily than lighter colors
Flat sole design offers less arch support than modern performance running shoes

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Samba Jane Trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:

Cleaning: Wipe the exterior regularly with a damp, soft cloth to remove dust. For the upper, use a specialized leather or synthetic cleaner depending on the material.
Storage: Keep your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration of the gold accents.
Compatibility: These trainers are highly versatile and work well with slim-fit jeans, wide-leg trousers, or casual skirts.
Maintenance: If the shoes get wet, air-dry them at room temperature. Avoid using direct heat sources like radiators, as this can cause the materials to stiffen or warp.
