Product Care
To maintain the luxurious feel and appearance of your satin dress, proper care is essential:
- Cleaning: Always refer to the care label attached to the garment for specific instructions. Generally, satin garments are best cared for by gentle hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent, or professional dry cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach, as these can damage the fabric.
- Washing Machine Use: If machine washing is permitted by the care label, use a delicate cycle and place the dress in a mesh laundry bag to protect it from snags and agitation.
- Drying: Hang to dry away from direct sunlight or lay flat on a clean, dry surface. Avoid tumble drying, as high heat can cause shrinking, damage the satin weave, or dull its sheen.
- Ironing/Steaming: To remove wrinkles, use a garment steamer. If ironing, use a very low heat setting and iron the dress inside out to protect the satin finish. Place a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric if necessary.
- Storage: Store the dress on a padded hanger in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding for extended periods to prevent creasing.
