FAQs

How often should I charge my Oral-B Pro 3 3500?

For optimal battery life, it's recommended to place the toothbrush on its charger when not in use. However, a full charge provides up to 14 days of regular use, so you can also charge it as needed, especially before travel.

How do I know when to replace the brush head?

Dentists recommend replacing your brush head every three months. Oral-B brush heads often have blue indicator bristles that fade halfway to white, signaling it's time for a replacement.

Is the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 waterproof?

The handle is water-resistant and designed to be used in the bathroom. However, avoid submerging the charging base in water, and do not use the toothbrush while showering or bathing.

What are the main differences between the brushing modes?

The `Daily Clean` mode is for thorough everyday plaque removal. `Whitening` mode helps to polish away surface stains for brighter teeth. `Sensitive` mode provides a gentler clean for users with sensitive gums or teeth.

Can I use any Oral-B brush head with this model?

Yes, the Oral-B Pro 3 3500 is compatible with a wide range of Oral-B round brush heads designed for oscillating-rotating electric toothbrushes. Ensure you use genuine Oral-B replacement heads for best results.

What is the purpose of the pressure sensor?

The pressure sensor protects your gums and teeth. If you brush too hard, a red light will illuminate on the handle, alerting you to reduce pressure. This prevents damage from over-brushing.

Troubleshooting

My Oral-B Pro 3 3500 won't turn on.

Ensure the toothbrush is fully charged. Place it on the charging base for at least 24 hours for the initial charge, or several hours for subsequent charges. Check that the charging base is plugged into a working outlet.

The pressure sensor light stays red frequently or doesn't activate.

The red light indicates you're brushing too hard. Try to reduce pressure during brushing. If it doesn't activate, ensure the brush head is securely attached and that you are applying sufficient, but not excessive, pressure to your teeth.

The battery doesn't seem to last 14 days.

Make sure you performed the initial 24-hour charge. Battery life can vary based on brushing frequency and mode usage. If the issue persists, ensure the charging contacts on both the handle and base are clean and dry.

I'm not getting a good clean.

Ensure you are replacing your brush head every three months as recommended. Also, verify you are using proper brushing technique, allowing the brush to do the work rather than scrubbing vigorously. Utilize the integrated timer to ensure you brush for the full two minutes, covering all quadrants of your mouth.

Toothbrush head feels loose or falls off.

Ensure the brush head is pushed firmly onto the handle's metal shaft until it clicks into place. If using non-Oral-B branded brush heads, compatibility issues might arise. Always use genuine Oral-B replacement heads.

  • May be louder than a manual toothbrush during operation

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Initial Setup

  1. Charge Fully: Before first use, plug your Oral-B Pro 3 3500 into the charging base and charge it for at least 24 hours. This ensures the battery reaches its full capacity for optimal performance.
  2. Attach Brush Head: Firmly push an Oral-B brush head onto the handle's shaft until it clicks into place.
  3. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the toothbrush. Select your desired brushing mode by pressing the button repeatedly.

Compatibility

The Oral-B Pro 3 3500 is compatible with a wide range of Oral-B electric toothbrush replacement heads. Look for Oral-B round brush heads specifically designed for oscillating-rotating electric toothbrushes. Ensure the brush head you choose is genuine Oral-B for best fit and performance.

Product Care & Maintenance

  • Clean After Each Use: After brushing, rinse the brush head thoroughly under running water with the toothbrush still switched on to remove toothpaste residue. Then, remove the brush head and rinse both the brush head and the handle separately.
  • Wipe Down Handle: Wipe the handle dry with a soft cloth.
  • Store Properly: Store the toothbrush upright in its charging base or in the included travel case. Ensure the brush head air-dries to prevent mold or mildew.
  • Charge as Needed: While the battery lasts up to 14 days, keep the toothbrush on its charger when not in use to maintain full power, or charge it fully before travel.
  • Replace Brush Head: Dentists recommend replacing your brush head every three months, or sooner if the bristles are splayed or worn. The blue indicator bristles on Oral-B brush heads fade halfway to white to remind you when to replace.
