Full details
The Brabantia Sort & Go Waste Bin 12L is a compact, space-saving solution designed for individuals or small households looking to streamline their recycling and waste management. Its rectangular design allows it to sit flush against walls or in corners, making it a perfect fit for smaller kitchens where floor space is at a premium; however, its 12-liter capacity means it requires frequent emptying if used as a primary household bin.

What is the material composition?

Can I stack these bins?
The Sort & Go series is designed to be placed side-by-side rather than stacked vertically.
Troubleshooting
Bin bag slips inside
Ensure the top trim is pressed firmly into place after folding the bag edges over the top rim to lock the bag in position.
Lid does not stay open
Check the hinge area for debris or food residue that may be preventing the lid from locking into the open position.
Difficult to remove lid
The lid is designed for easy removal; ensure you are lifting from the designated pivot points rather than forcing the center of the lid.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Slim profile saves valuable floor space
- Easy to clean with a removable lid and smooth surfaces
- Hidden bin bag design for a neat look
- Versatile use with or without bin liners
- Sustainable manufacturing standards
Cons
- 12-liter capacity is relatively small for large families
- Manual lid operation is not touch-free
- Best suited for light recycling rather than heavy general waste
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the bin is straightforward: simply place the unit against your desired wall or corner, and fold your chosen bin liner over the rim before replacing the top trim to secure it in place. While the bin is designed to be used with standard liners, it can also be used liner-free for non-messy waste, such as paper or clean plastic. To maintain, wipe the interior and exterior with a damp cloth and a mild household cleaner. Avoid harsh abrasive scouring pads to keep the plastic finish pristine. The removable lid design ensures you can reach deep into the base for occasional deep cleaning.
