Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best experience with your WoodWick Medium Candle - Verdant Woods:
- First Burn: Allow the candle to burn until the wax pool reaches the edge of the jar. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle.
- Wick Trimming: Before each use, trim the wooden wick to approximately 1/4 inch. If the wick is too long, it may cause excessive flickering or soot. If the flame is too small, ensure the wick is trimmed correctly and has enough wax to burn.
- Placement: Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets.
- Extinguishing: Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax pool to extinguish the flame. Avoid blowing out the candle, which can cause smoking.
- Cleaning: Once the candle is extinguished and cooled, the jar can be cleaned with warm, soapy water for reuse.
