Setup, Compatibility & Care
When planting your 1L pot, ensure you choose a location that offers partial shade. Dig a hole twice the width of the pot and incorporate organic matter, such as leaf mold or compost, to help retain moisture in the soil. Place the plant at the same level it was in the pot and firm the soil gently. Water immediately after planting and keep the soil consistently moist throughout the first growing season. Avoid planting near aggressive, fast-spreading groundcovers that might crowd out the plant's tidy rosettes. No heavy pruning is required; simply clear away any dead foliage in the early spring to make room for new flower stems to emerge.
