Full details
The Fox Racing Ranger Water MTB Gloves are designed for mountain bikers and trail riders who require reliable hand protection against rain, mud, and cold weather. These gloves feature a 100% waterproof construction to keep hands dry, though the thicker material may slightly reduce tactile feedback compared to ultra-light summer gear. With a DWR coating and touch-screen compatibility, they offer a perfect balance of performance and convenience for wet-weather adventures.

FAQs
Are these gloves suitable for extreme winter conditions?
They are ideal for cool, wet conditions, but for sub-zero temperatures, you may require a dedicated heavy-duty winter glove with more insulation.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
It is highly recommended to hand wash them to protect the integrity of the waterproof membranes and the DWR coating.
Do these gloves have padding for vibration dampening?
These are minimalist gloves designed for bar feel; they do not contain bulky gel padding.
Will the conductive touch pads wear off?
Like all conductive fabrics, they may degrade over time due to friction, but they are built to be durable for standard trail use.
Do they run true to size?
Fox Racing gloves generally follow standard sizing; refer to the manufacturer's size chart based on your palm circumference for the best fit.
Troubleshooting
Gloves feel damp inside after long rides
Ensure your sleeves are pulled over the glove cuffs to prevent water from running down your arms into the glove.
Touchscreen responsiveness is low
Clean the conductive pads on the index finger and thumb with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt or oil buildup.
Water is soaking into the fabric
The DWR coating may be wearing off; re-apply a DWR spray treatment specifically for waterproof gear to restore water-shedding capabilities.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent moisture protection with DWR coating
- Fleece-lined palm offers warmth in cold temperatures
- Touchscreen compatible index and thumb
- Sleek, minimalist design fits well under long-sleeve jerseys
Cons
- Less breathable than summer-specific gloves
- Limited impact padding for high-risk downhill riding
- Touchscreen accuracy can decrease when fabric is fully saturated
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Because these gloves utilize a slip-on design, ensure you select the correct size to allow for easy entry while maintaining a snug fit at the wrist.
Care Instructions:
- Hand wash in cold water using a mild, non-biological detergent to preserve the DWR coating.
- Air dry in a shaded area away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the waterproof membranes.
- Avoid using fabric softeners or bleach, as these will compromise the waterproof properties of the material.
