The Abus Ultimate 420K D Lock is designed for urban cyclists who prioritize high-level security for their bicycles in high-theft areas. Featuring a 14mm hardened steel shackle, this lock provides robust protection against forced entry attempts, making it a reliable Sold Secure Gold-rated choice for commuters. While it offers industry-leading security, its 1120g weight means it is slightly heavier than entry-level cable or chain locks, requiring the use of the included frame mount for easier transport.

It means the lock has passed rigorous independent testing specifically designed to simulate professional-grade theft attempts.
The USH bracket is designed for standard round frame tubes. It may not fit frames with unconventional, oversized, or aero-shaped tubing.
Yes, Abus typically includes two keys with the lock. We recommend registering your key code with Abus for potential replacements.
While highly corrosion-resistant due to its specialized materials, it is not 100% rust-proof. Occasional maintenance with lubricant is recommended.
The Abus Ultimate 420K weighs 1120 grams.
With a 78mm inner width, it is sufficient for most standard bike racks and thin poles, but may struggle with very thick city infrastructure.
Apply a small amount of dedicated lock lubricant into the cylinder and insert the key several times to distribute the grease.
Re-check the mounting screws on the USH holder to ensure they are fully tightened against the frame tubing.
To install the USH holder, locate a suitable position on your bike frame where it does not interfere with your pedaling or brake cables. Tighten the mounting bolts securely using the included instructions. When locking, ensure that you are attaching the bike to a permanent, immobile object. To maintain the lock's longevity, occasionally spray the lock cylinder with a high-quality lubricant to prevent internal corrosion and ensure the key turns smoothly, especially if you store your bike outdoors during winter months.
