Full details
The Nike Blazer Mid 77 is designed for adult men who appreciate a blend of heritage basketball aesthetics and modern casual style. Its standout benefit is the durable suede construction combined with a timeless, versatile grey silhouette that transitions seamlessly from daily errands to social outings; however, users should note that as a high-top model, it provides a snug, supportive fit that may feel more restrictive than low-profile trainers.

FAQs
Are these shoes true to size?
Yes, the Nike Blazer Mid 77 typically fits true to size, though the snug construction might feel tight if you prefer extra room in the toe box.
Can I wear these in the rain?
It is recommended to avoid heavy rain as suede is porous and can stain or lose texture when soaked.
How do I lace them properly?
For optimal support, lace them through the top eyelet; for a more casual look, you may choose to leave the top eyelet open.
Is the material real suede?
Yes, this model features premium suede construction for durability and style.
Are these suitable for basketball?
While based on basketball heritage, this model is designed for lifestyle use and does not contain the modern performance cushioning found in contemporary court shoes.
Troubleshooting
Suede looks discoloured or matted
Gently use a suede brush in a single direction to lift the nap and restore the texture.
Stiffness when wearing for the first time
The suede and vulcanized rubber require a brief break-in period; wear them for short intervals to allow the materials to soften.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Versatile and timeless design
- High-quality suede material
- Provides reliable ankle support
- Durable vulcanized construction
Cons
- Suede requires careful cleaning
- Mid-top profile feels restrictive for some
- Limited breathability compared to mesh shoes
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Nike Blazer Mid 77s last, proper maintenance is essential.
- Cleaning: Given the suede construction, avoid machine washing. Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt and a suede-specific cleaning eraser for scuffs.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the grey colour from fading.
- Protection: Apply a water-repellent spray designed for suede to protect against light moisture and stains.
- Compatibility: These trainers pair best with tapered or slim-cut denim, chinos, or casual joggers that allow the mid-top silhouette to remain visible.
