Setup, Compatibility & Care
Sowing Indoors:
Sow seeds indoors from February to July in 8 cm pots filled with firm, pre-watered compost. Cover seeds lightly with compost or vermiculite. Maintain a temperature of approximately 15°C and cover pots with cling film until seedlings appear.
Transplanting:
Once seedlings have emerged, move them to a sunny windowsill. Water regularly to keep the compost consistently damp. Plant out into their final position in May or June, after gradually acclimatizing them to outdoor conditions.
Care:
- Harvest tips regularly to encourage bushier growth.
- Remove flower buds as soon as they appear to prevent leaves from becoming bitter.
- Water in the morning to ensure plants are not left wet overnight.
- Ensure good sunlight exposure for best growth and colour.
