Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & Installation
- Measure Your Staircase: Carefully measure the length of your staircase to determine the required total runner length (600cm, 650cm, or 700cm). Remember that two panels are supplied per order.
- Order a Sample: Before committing to a full purchase, consider ordering a sample to confirm the runner's colour, texture, and quality in your home lighting.
- Consider Professional Fitting: For the best results, especially when joining the two panels for longer staircases or installing winder/quarter landing panels, it is highly recommended to engage a professional carpet fitter. They possess the expertise to seamlessly join panels and ensure a flawless, secure installation.
- Install Winder/Landing Panels: If your staircase includes turning steps, utilize the available Winder Step and Quarter Landing panels to maintain a continuous design. The winder step panel set includes middle and upper steps; a standard straight panel can be used for the lower step.
Compatibility
This runner's timeless design, featuring a cream fleck herringbone pattern and a black border, makes it compatible with a wide range of interior styles, from modern minimalist to classic traditional. Its neutral yet sophisticated palette offers versatility for various home decors.
Care & Maintenance
- Regular Vacuuming: Regularly vacuum the runner using a brush attachment to remove dust and dirt trapped within the herringbone weave. This prevents accumulation and keeps the pile fresh.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible. For more stubborn stains, use a mild carpet cleaner, testing it on an inconspicuous area first to ensure colourfastness.
- Professional Cleaning: Periodically, consider professional carpet cleaning to maintain its appearance, remove embedded dirt, and extend its lifespan, especially in high-traffic areas.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the material, fade colours, or alter the texture of the runner.
