Product Information
Full details
The KDMD Calcite Geode is designed for mineral collectors and home decor enthusiasts looking for a visually striking centerpiece. Its primary benefit is the dramatic visual contrast provided by the black exterior and vibrant purple crystals, offering a unique focal point for any shelf or desk. However, users should be aware that this is an artificially colored product, meaning the pigments are decorative rather than naturally occurring, which may affect its suitability for those seeking purely raw, unadulterated specimens.

FAQs
Is this a naturally purple geode?
No, this geode features artificial coloring on both the crystals and the exterior rock.
Will the size be exactly 8.5x6 cm?
Because this is a natural product, dimensions are approximate and slight variations between pieces are normal.
Can I use this in an aquarium?
No, this geode is intended for decorative indoor display only. The artificial colors may leach chemicals into water which could be harmful to aquatic life.
How should I store this if I want to move it?
Wrap the geode in bubble wrap or tissue paper, ensuring that the crystals are protected from direct impact, and store in a cool, dry place.
Are all KDMD geodes identical?
No, every piece is unique due to the nature of the rock formation process, meaning each piece will have its own distinct shape and crystal configuration.
Troubleshooting
The geode has collected dust inside the crystals
Use a small, clean, dry paintbrush to gently sweep dust out of the crevices without applying pressure to the crystals.
The geode scratches the surface it sits on
Place a small circular felt or silicone adhesive pad on the underside of the rock to protect delicate surfaces.
Pros and Cons

Cons

- Natural variations in size and shape are expected
- Not suitable for outdoor placement due to potential finish fading
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To keep your KDMD Calcite Geode looking its best, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Placement: Choose a stable, dust-free surface. Since the item is made of natural rock, it may be abrasive; consider using a small felt pad if placing it on glass or polished wood surfaces to prevent scratching.
- Cleaning: Use only a dry, soft-bristled brush or a microfiber cloth to gently remove dust from the crystal cavities. Avoid using water, liquid cleaners, or chemicals, as these can react with the artificial pigment.
- Handling: Although durable, the crystals are brittle. Hold the geode by the black exterior rock rather than the crystal interior to avoid breaking the delicate points.
- Compatibility: This item is compatible with most interior styles, from industrial to contemporary, due to its dark, moody color profile.
