FAQs
Can I use this for both adhesive and grout?
Yes, the tool is specifically designed as a dual-purpose implement for both applying adhesive and finishing grout lines.
What is the notch size on this spreader?
The Faithfull 125mm spreader features a standard notch configuration designed for typical wall tile adhesives.
Is this tool suitable for floor tiles?
While it can be used for small floor areas, it is primarily recommended for wall tiling due to its 125mm width.
How do I clean hardened grout off the plastic?
Soak the tool in warm water to soften the residue, then use a soft brush or nylon scouring pad to remove it. Avoid metal scrapers.
Is the handle comfortable for long sessions?
The lightweight design is balanced for comfort, but for very large projects, we recommend taking regular breaks to minimize strain.
Troubleshooting
Adhesive not applying evenly
Ensure the spreader is held at a consistent 45-degree angle to the surface and avoid applying excessive downward pressure.
Tool leaving scratches on delicate tiles
Check the notched edge for debris or hardened residue and clean thoroughly before proceeding.
Excessive buildup of grout on the squeegee
Clean the squeegee edge with a damp sponge every 2-3 passes to maintain a clean finish.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
The Faithfull Combination Spreader requires no assembly or specialized setup; it is ready to use immediately out of the package. It is compatible with most standard water-based tile adhesives and cementitious grouts. To ensure longevity, follow these care steps:
- Clean the tool immediately after use with warm water to prevent mortar from hardening on the plastic surface.
- Do not use harsh chemical solvents, as these can degrade the plastic material.
- Inspect the notched edge before each use to ensure it has not been warped by heat or impact.
- Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, to prevent the material from becoming brittle over time.
