Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
This kit is designed for installing triangular shade sails onto solid surfaces such as concrete, brickwork, or sturdy wooden beams. It is not suitable for mounting onto walls that are not structurally sound or on soft ground.
Setup:
- Identify the mounting points on your solid surface. Ensure they are structurally sound and capable of withstanding tension.
- Attach the included eye bolts or similar fixtures securely into the pre-drilled holes using appropriate fixings for your surface type (e.g., masonry plugs for brick/concrete, lag screws for wood).
- Connect one corner of your triangular shade sail to a mounting point using the provided carabiner or shackle.
- Connect the second corner of the shade sail to another mounting point, using the Claw Turnbuckle. Adjust the turnbuckle to achieve the desired tension.
- Connect the third corner of the shade sail to the remaining mounting point.
- Once all corners are attached, fine-tune the tension using the Claw Turnbuckle to ensure the sail is taut and secure.
Care:
- Periodically check all fixings and the turnbuckle for tightness and signs of wear. Re-tighten as necessary.
- Clean the stainless steel components with a soft cloth and mild soapy water if they become dirty. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- In very harsh weather conditions or during prolonged periods of disuse, consider temporarily removing the shade sail to reduce stress on the fixings.
