Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

This tap is designed for deck mounting and requires a single installation hole of Ø 35 mm. Ensure you have a water supply with a minimum recommended pressure of 0.5 bar and a maximum operating pressure of 5 bar. Two hoses are typically included for hot and cold water connections. It is recommended to consult the installation manual or a professional plumber for correct installation to ensure optimal performance and prevent leaks. The maximum embedding surface thickness is 4 cm.

Compatibility:

The Smeg MDF50RD is compatible with standard UK plumbing systems. The unit comes with G3/8 hose connecting threads. It is designed to work with water systems that meet the specified pressure requirements.

Care:

To maintain the gloss red finish and ensure longevity, clean the faucet regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the surface. For limescale buildup, a mild descaler can be used sparingly, followed by thorough rinsing. Periodically check connections for any signs of wear or leakage.
