Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation is Key: Ensure wood surfaces are clean, dry, and frost-free, with a moisture content not exceeding 18%. For resinous woods like Larch, degrease with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner. Remove old paints and lacquers completely; only apply to raw wood. If necessary, sand raw wood with fine sandpaper before application. During sanding, wear a dust mask.
Application: Osmo Uviwax UV-Protection is ready to use and should not be thinned. Stir well before application. The coating temperature must be at least +10°C.
Compatibility: This product is to be used alone and solely applied to raw wood. It is not compatible with previously painted or lacquered surfaces unless they are completely removed.
Care and Maintenance: Clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Wood treated with Osmo Uviwax UV-Protection generally only needs to be cleaned and recoated. For future applications or spot repairs, no sanding is necessary.
