Surge Foil is a special type of foil treatment applied to Magic: The Gathering cards that provides a unique, iridescent sheen and a distinct visual effect compared to traditional foils.
This Commander deck contains 100 cards, all of which are Surge Foil. It also includes 10 Surge Foil double-sided token cards.
Yes, the 30 Commander cards included in this deck are entirely new to Magic: The Gathering and are designed specifically for this product.
While this deck is optimized for the Commander format, its cards can be used in other Magic: The Gathering formats if they meet those formats' deck-building restrictions. However, its primary design intent is Commander.
A Borderless Commander card features art that extends to the very edges of the card, with no traditional borders, providing a more immersive and visually striking presentation.
The deck is playable for beginners, especially those familiar with the Marvel universe. However, understanding the nuances of the Commander format and Magic: The Gathering's rules is beneficial for optimal enjoyment.
The Collector's Edition includes 100 Surge Foil cards, 10 Surge Foil double-sided token cards, 1 deck box, 1 strategy guide, and 1 reference card.
Ensure you are playing in a Commander format game where the deck's synergies can be maximized. Review the strategy guide for optimal play patterns and consider incorporating additional lands or synergistic cards if playing outside of the intended Commander environment.
Refer to the included strategy guide and reference card. Consult online Magic: The Gathering resources or experienced players for clarifications on card text and mechanics.
Surge Foil treatment can vary slightly between print runs. Ensure the cards are viewed in good lighting. If there is a significant defect, contact customer support.
Carefully check the entire contents of the box, including under inserts. If items are confirmed missing, contact Wizards of the Coast customer support with your proof of purchase.
Setup: This deck is ready to play out of the box. Simply remove the cards from their packaging. Familiarize yourself with the 100 cards, paying special attention to the Legendary Creature designated as your Commander. Shuffle the deck thoroughly before each game. The included strategy guide can assist in understanding the deck's synergies.
Compatibility: This product is compatible with all Magic: The Gathering cards and formats. However, it is specifically designed for the Commander (EDH) format. Commander decks are 100 cards in size, including the Commander, and follow specific deck-building rules. This deck adheres to those rules, though its unique card pool is tailored for Commander play.
Care: To maintain the condition of your Surge Foil cards, it is recommended to use card sleeves. Avoid exposing the cards to moisture, extreme temperatures, or direct sunlight. Store the deck in the provided deck box or a similar protective case when not in use. Clean any smudges gently with a dry microfiber cloth.
