Boasting fully double flowers with lots of ruffled petals, these Tulip Mariage bulbs produce an attractive show of elegant blooms. They are perfect for beds and borders but also grow well in patio pots, where the soft rose-pink blooms will be the envy of your neighbours. The long-lasting Peony-like blooms flower from April to May and grow upright on stems above a bed of lanceolate grey-green foliage. These 11-12 sized bulbs are relatively simple to grow and care for. The ideal time to plant them is from September to October in pots or mid-October – December (after the first frost) in beds and borders. Choose a sheltered, sunny spot and dig a hole around 20cm deep in well-draining soil. Position the bulb in the hole and backfill with soil, gently firming down as you go, then water in well. Leave 10-15cm between bulbs to afford space for the roots to develop. Also available in a 10 bulb pack and a 25 bulb pack.
