Product Information

Full details

The Korda Loop Klor Rigs are pre-tied hook sections designed for carp anglers who value efficiency and performance without the need for complex rig construction. These rigs are ideal for anglers looking to create a high-functioning combi rig quickly using a loop-to-loop connection, offering a ready-to-use blow-back style presentation. While these rigs provide excellent convenience, users should note that they are specifically optimized for use with Korda boom sections, which may limit compatibility with non-standard terminal tackle.

FAQs

Can I use these rigs with non-Korda booms?

While they are designed for Korda boom sections, they can be used with any boom that features a secure loop connection point.

Does the lasso knot require a rig ring?

No, the lasso knot is specifically used to replace the need for a rig ring, simplifying the build.

Are these rigs suitable for all bottom types?

The semi-stiff material makes them versatile, but you should always inspect the braid for wear after fishing over sharp gravel.

How many come in a packet?

Each packet contains 3 ready-tied hook link sections.

Is the Klor hook available in barbless?

Yes, Korda offers both barbed and barbless options depending on your specific requirements and venue rules.

Troubleshooting

Rig tangling during the cast

Ensure you are using a PVA bag or a foam nugget to protect the hook point, or check that your lead setup is not causing the hook to flip back onto the mainline.

Difficulty passing the loop through the boom

Use a dedicated baiting needle or a small splicing needle to pull the loop through the boom eye if the fit is tight.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Significantly reduces time spent tying rigs at the water's edge
Reliable blow-back presentation out of the packet
High-quality Klor hook ensures excellent hooking potential
Simple loop-to-loop connection allows for quick hook section swaps

Cons

Restricted to use with compatible loop-style boom sections
Limited customization options compared to self-tied rigs
Three-pack quantity may require frequent re-purchasing for high-volume anglers

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up these rigs, simply feed the loop at the end of the Korda Loop Klor Rig through the loop on your boom section. Pass the hook through the loop of the boom and pull tight to secure a neat loop-to-loop connection. These rigs are compatible with most standard Korda boom materials. To maintain performance, inspect the braid for fraying after every capture, particularly if you have been fishing over abrasive lakebeds like gravel or mussel bars. Always check the hook point for sharpness before casting, and ensure the lasso knot is seating the bait correctly before deploying the rig.
