FAQs

What is the bottle made of?

The Mitre Water Bottle is made from plant-based plastic.

How much liquid can it hold?

It has a capacity of 1000ml (1 liter).

Can I use it for hot drinks?

It is not recommended for hot liquids. The bottle is best suited for water and cold beverages.

Does it come with one lid or two?

This bottle comes with two interchangeable lids: a screw-top lid and a spout lid.

Is the bottle dishwasher safe?

No, it is not dishwasher safe. Hand washing with mild soap and lukewarm water is recommended to maintain the integrity of the plastic.

Can I put carbonated drinks in it?

It is not recommended for carbonated drinks as the pressure may affect the bottle's seal or cause it to burst.

How should I clean the bottle for the first time?

Wash the bottle and lids thoroughly with mild soap and lukewarm water before the first use. Allow to air dry completely.

Troubleshooting

Bottle lid is leaking.

Ensure the lid is screwed on tightly and the seal is correctly positioned. Check for any debris on the threads or seal.

Difficult to squeeze water out.

Check if the spout lid is fully open or if the screw-top lid is completely removed. Ensure the bottle is not overly full, which can create back pressure.

Water has a slight taste.

Thoroughly wash the bottle and lids with mild soap and water. Allow to air dry completely. Some initial taste may occur with new plastic; this should dissipate after a few washes.

Plastic feels sticky or looks cloudy.

This could indicate residue from what was previously in the bottle or improper cleaning. Wash thoroughly with mild soap and ensure all residue is rinsed away.
