This tool holder is designed to hold the wheels; please consult your product packaging to confirm if wheels are pre-installed.
This tool is built for the SM3002 lathe series and is intended for standard workshop applications within the lathe's capacity.
Check that the tool center height is aligned and increase the pressure applied to the workpiece slightly.
Verify that all mounting bolts are tightened securely and the workpiece is held firmly in the chuck.
Clean the wheels of any trapped metal debris and apply a small amount of machine oil to the wheel axles.
To set up the tool holder, mount it directly to the SM3002 tool post using the standard locking mechanism. Ensure that the center height of the knurling wheels is perfectly aligned with the center axis of your workpiece; misalignment will lead to uneven knurling patterns. Regarding care, regularly inspect the knurling wheels for metal shavings or debris that could impede rotation. Apply a light machine oil to the pivot points of the wheels to keep them spinning freely, and keep the tool holder in a dry, rust-free environment when not in use to maintain the integrity of the steel.
