The Dornier Do J Wal "Amundsen" N-25 set from COBI celebrates the 100th anniversary of Roald Amundsen's polar expedition. This unique model of the legendary seaplane is a symbol of one of the most important polar expeditions in history. The German aircraft, designed by Dornier, gained fame during polar expeditions in the 1920s. The N-25 model, named after the famous Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen, was a unique seaplane designed to fly in extreme Arctic conditions. Equipped with two engines, the Dornier Do J Wal was characterized by extraordinary durability and the ability to operate from water landings, making it an ideal aircraft for research in polar regions where traditional airports were not available.
