FAQs

Can I combine this with larger Connetix sets?

Yes, the Travel Mini Pack is fully compatible with all other Connetix magnetic tile sets.

Are the stickers safe to use on other surfaces?

While designed for the tiles, the silicone stickers can adhere to most smooth, non-porous surfaces like windows.

How many pieces are included in total?

The set contains 32 pieces, including 10 mini squares, 6 mini posts, 4 mini isosceles triangles, 4 mini equilateral triangles, 2 mini rhombuses, 2 mini trapezoids, and 2 standard squares.

What is the benefit of the Smart Spin technology?

It allows the internal magnets to rotate, making it easier to connect tiles at various angles and reducing frustration during complex builds.

Is the carry tin magnetic?

Yes, the base of the tin is designed to function as a magnetic build plate for your creations.

Troubleshooting

Silicone stickers are no longer adhering to the tiles

Wash the stickers gently with warm water to remove dust, let them air dry, and they will regain their adhesive properties.

Magnets seem to repel instead of attract

This is a feature of magnetic polarity; simply rotate the tile 90 degrees to find the correct attraction point.

Tiles feel slightly loose in the construction

Ensure that the Smart Spin magnets are properly aligned and flush against the adjoining piece; check for any debris between the tiles.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely portable design with an included carry handle
Smart Spin magnets allow for more creative connection angles
Reusable stickers prevent waste and allow for endless customization
Rugged build quality ensures pieces survive being tossed in a bag
Build surface integrated directly into the storage tin

Cons

Small piece count limits the scale of buildings compared to full-sized sets
Smaller tiles may be easier to lose if not carefully packed away
Requires a flat surface for larger, more stable builds

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up for travel, ensure the magnets are clicked together in flat stacks to maximize space inside the tin. When using the silicone stickers, apply them to the smooth side of the tiles; to maintain their stickiness, keep the tile surfaces free of dust and lint.

Regarding compatibility, this pack uses standard Connetix magnetic connectivity, meaning it can be integrated into any existing, larger Connetix collection. For care, keep the tiles away from extreme heat sources to avoid warping the plastic. If the tiles become dirty, wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap, then allow them to air dry completely before placing them back into the tin to prevent trapped moisture.
