Calibra Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic Skin and Coat Support is a specialized canine dietetic food designed for adult dogs suffering from dermatosis, excessive hair loss, or food sensitivities. By utilizing a single-protein source of salmon combined with potato starch, this formula helps manage adverse food reactions and supports skin barrier repair; however, it is not intended for puppies or dogs that require weight gain during recovery.

No, this diet is formulated for adult dogs and does not meet the growth requirements for puppies.
To ensure the effectiveness of an elimination diet, you should strictly avoid all other food sources, including treats, unless authorized by your veterinarian.
It is suitable for long-term use, but the duration should be determined by your veterinarian based on your dog's specific clinical progression.
No, this formula utilizes potato starch to minimize allergic risks associated with traditional grains.
Skin cells take time to regenerate, and allergies can have multiple triggers; continue feeding as directed and consult your vet if symptoms persist.
Ensure a slow transition period; you can also try slightly warming a small amount of water to mix with the kibble to enhance the aroma.
Slow down the transition process by increasing the old-to-new food ratio for a few additional days before attempting to increase the new diet again.
Before starting your dog on this diet, consult your veterinarian to ensure it is the correct choice for your pet's specific medical needs. Transition your dog over 5 to 7 days by mixing the diet with their current food, gradually increasing the ratio of Calibra. Always provide access to fresh, clean water. Store the bag in a cool, dry place and ensure the package is tightly sealed after every use to maintain the freshness and nutrient integrity of the dry kibble.
