The key benefit is their effortless setup and eco-friendly operation, providing beautiful illumination without added electricity costs. A minor caveat is that performance may be reduced during shorter winter days, making them best suited for warmer months. FAQs

How long do the lights stay on?

With a full charge, the lights can illuminate for up to 8 hours.

Are these lights suitable for use in winter?

While they have an IP44 waterproof rating, performance is significantly reduced during winter due to shorter daylight hours and less intense sunlight. They are best used during spring and summer months. It is recommended to store them indoors during winter.

What type of battery does it use?

The set includes one high-capacity 1 x AA 600MAH rechargeable battery.

Can I use these lights indoors?

These lights are designed and rated for outdoor use. While they could technically be used indoors, their solar charging mechanism requires placement near a sunny window, and they are built to withstand outdoor elements.

How do I clean the lanterns?

Gently wipe the rattan effect lanterns with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using water directly on the electrical components or harsh cleaning agents.

What is the total length of the lights?

The string of lights measures 2.25 meters, with an additional 3-meter lead cable from the solar panel to the first lantern.

Is the battery replaceable?

Yes, the rechargeable battery can be replaced. It is a 1 x AA 600MAH battery.

Troubleshooting

Lights do not turn on at night.

Ensure the solar panel is receiving direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. Check that the 'on/off' switch is in the 'on' position. Clean the solar panel. If the issue persists after a full sunny day's charge, try replacing the rechargeable battery.

Lights are dim or do not last through the night.

The solar panel may not be getting enough direct sunlight. Relocate the panel to a sunnier spot. The rechargeable battery may be nearing the end of its lifespan and might need replacement.

Solar panel is dirty.

Gently wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.

Lights only work intermittently.

This could be due to inconsistent sunlight or a partially depleted battery. Ensure optimal sun exposure and consider replacing the rechargeable battery if it is old.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Easy to install and position anywhere with sunlight.
Creates a warm and cozy atmosphere in outdoor spaces.
Weather-resistant design for reliable outdoor use.

Cons

Optimal performance is dependent on sufficient daily sunlight.

Best suited for seasonal use (spring/summer) rather than year-round.
The rattan effect may not suit all garden aesthetics.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Unpack the fairy lights and ensure all components are present.
Place the solar panel in a location that receives direct sunlight for the majority of the day, ideally 6-8 hours.
Position the lantern lights in your desired outdoor location, utilizing the 2.25m string and 3m lead cable for placement flexibility.
Turn the unit on using the provided switch (if applicable) and allow it to charge throughout the day.

Compatibility:

These lights are designed for outdoor use in garden, patio, or balcony settings.
They are solar-powered and do not require an electrical outlet.

Care:

Wipe the solar panel periodically with a soft, damp cloth to ensure efficient charging. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Inspect the lights and cables for any damage before each use.
During winter months or prolonged periods of inactivity, it is recommended to store the lights in a dry, indoor location to protect them from harsh weather and preserve battery life.
To replace the rechargeable battery, carefully open the battery compartment on the solar panel, remove the old battery, and insert a new one of the same type (1 x AA 600MAH).
