Full details
The Waterhaul Kids Litter Picker is a 22" folding litter grabber designed for children to take action against plastic pollution. Its key benefit is making environmental clean-ups accessible and engaging for young users, enabling portability with its folding design. A potential caveat is its specialized design for children, which may be too small for some adult tasks. This durable, lightweight tool is made in the UK from traceable marine plastic, featuring a modular and repairable design for longevity and easy maintenance, and includes an integrated action camera mount.

FAQs
What age range is this litter picker suitable for?
While designed with children in mind, the specific age range depends on the child's height and ability. The 22" length is generally suitable for primary school-aged children.
How is the marine plastic traced?
Each litter picker contains a QR code that, when scanned, provides information about the origin of the plastic recovered along the UK coastline.
Can adults use this litter picker?
Yes, adults can use it, but the 22" length may be less ergonomic for taller individuals compared to longer litter pickers. It is primarily designed for children's use.
Where is the action camera mount located?
The action camera mount is integrated into the handle area, designed to capture footage of the litter-picking process.
How do I replace a broken part?
The litter picker is designed with modular and repairable components. If a part breaks, you can typically order a replacement directly from the manufacturer and follow simple instructions for home replacement.
Is the litter picker waterproof?
The product is made from durable plastic suitable for outdoor use, including damp environments like beaches. It can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, but should not be submerged in water.
What is the weight of the litter picker?
The litter picker is lightweight, specifically designed to be easily handled by children. The product description notes it is lightweight yet durable.
Troubleshooting
Litter picker is stiff or difficult to fold/unfold.
Check the hinge mechanism for any obstructions like sand or dirt. Gently clean the hinge area. Ensure you are applying steady pressure when folding or unfolding.
Grip on litter is weak or inconsistent.
Ensure the jaws are fully aligned. Check for any damage to the gripping surfaces. For persistent issues, consider replacing the jaw components if available as modular parts.
Action camera mount is loose.
Ensure your action camera is properly secured to the mount according to both the camera and mount manufacturer's instructions. Check that the mount itself is securely attached to the picker.
Plastic appears faded or brittle.
This may be due to prolonged exposure to UV light. Store the litter picker out of direct sunlight when not in use. For significant degradation, replacement parts may be necessary.
