FAQs
How do I clean the milk system?
The machine features an `AutoMilk Clean` system that automatically cleans the milk frother after each use. For a more thorough clean, refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on disassembling and cleaning milk-related components.
Can I use pre-ground coffee?
This machine is designed primarily for whole coffee beans to ensure optimal freshness and flavour. While it may have a compartment for ground coffee, using it might limit functionality or drink options.
How many drinks can I save?
The `Favourite` function allows you to save up to five of your personalised drink creations. You can customise coffee strength, water volume, and milk quantity for each saved favourite.
What is Cold Brew?
Cold Brew is a brewing method that uses cold water and a longer steeping time to extract coffee, resulting in a smoother, less acidic, and naturally sweeter taste. The Siemens machine offers a dedicated Cold Brew setting.
How do I update the machine's software?
Software updates are typically managed through the HomeConnect app or directly via the machine's settings menu when connected to Wi-Fi. Ensure your machine is connected to your home network for automatic updates.
What is the benefit of the ceramDrive grinder?
The `ceramDrive` grinder is made from high-quality ceramic, ensuring durability and a consistent, fine grind. This even grinding is crucial for extracting the full flavour profile of your coffee beans.
Can I make two different milk drinks at the same time?
Yes, the `OneTouch DoubleCup` function allows you to prepare two different milky drinks simultaneously, making it convenient for serving two people quickly.
Troubleshooting
Machine not turning on
Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the power switch at the back of the machine is in the 'on' position.
Coffee is weak or watery
Adjust the `AromaSelect` setting to a stronger aroma profile. Ensure the bean container is filled and the `ceramDrive` grinder is functioning correctly. Check if the grind setting is too coarse.
Milk frother not working properly
Ensure the milk container and frothing components are clean and correctly assembled. Activate the `AutoMilk Clean` function. Check for blockages in the milk lines.
HomeConnect app not connecting
Verify your Wi-Fi network is active and the machine is within range. Restart both your router and the coffee machine. Re-establish the Wi-Fi connection through the machine's settings.
Error message on display
Consult the user manual for specific error code explanations. Common solutions include emptying the drip tray, refilling the water tank, or descaling the machine.
