Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before starting, ensure your vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is completely cool. The actuator is typically located on the intake manifold; consult your vehicle's service manual for specific location details for your model.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure electrical safety.
- Remove necessary intake housing or air filter components to gain clear access to the old actuator.
- Disconnect the electrical wiring harness and remove the retaining screws/bolts.
- Install the new D2P actuator, ensuring it is seated correctly and aligned with the flap linkage.
- Reinstall all components and reconnect the battery.
To prolong the life of the actuator, ensure the intake system remains clean and free of debris. It is recommended to check the actuator connections during routine air filter changes.
