Product Information

Full details

The Fox MK2 Illuminated Swinger in Red is an essential tool for carp anglers who require precise bite indication during day and night fishing sessions. Designed to integrate directly with bite alarms that feature a power-out facility, this swinger provides reliable visual cues for both forward runs and drop backs by mimicking the alarm's LED color. While it offers excellent visibility and customizable tension, users should note that it requires a compatible alarm system with a power output port to fully utilize the illumination feature.

FAQs

Does the swinger come with a battery?

No, the Fox MK2 Illuminated Swinger is powered directly by your bite alarm through the power-out lead.

Can I use this with any bite alarm?

It is designed for alarms with a power-out facility. If your alarm lacks this port, the illumination feature will not function.

What is the purpose of the Betalight slot?

The slot allows you to insert a small glowing isotope (Betalight), providing constant visibility without draining battery power.

Is the red model the only color available?

No, the MK2 series is available in several colors including blue, green, orange, and purple.

How do I secure the line?

The swinger features a fixed line gate system that holds the line securely until a strike occurs.

Troubleshooting

The swinger does not illuminate when the alarm sounds.

Check that the connection cable is fully inserted into the alarm's power-out port and ensure the alarm's battery is sufficiently charged.

The indicator is too sensitive and triggering false bites.

Slide the 80g collar weight toward the head of the swinger to reduce tension, or adjust the spring-loaded tensioning system.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your Fox MK2 Swinger, snap the attachment tabs onto your bankstick or pod-mounted buzzer bar. Insert the power lead into the designated power-out socket located on the side of your compatible bite alarm.

Inspect the line gate periodically to ensure it remains free of obstructions.
Store in a cool, dry place when not in use to maintain the integrity of the acrylic head and tension springs.
