The Sealey SB0018 is an essential abrasive consumable designed for professional woodworkers and metal fabricators who require a reliable, high-performance sanding belt for finishing tasks. Featuring a medium-grade 100-grit aluminum oxide surface, it excels at smoothing rough edges and preparing surfaces for final coatings; however, users should note that as a medium grit, it is not intended for heavy material stock removal or ultra-fine polishing.

Yes, the aluminum oxide construction is suitable for both wood and metal finishing.
100 grit is considered a medium grade, perfect for surface smoothing after initial shaping with coarser grits.
Yes, as long as your sander accepts a 150 x 1220mm belt, this product is compatible with most standard stationary machines.
Check the inside of the belt for arrows indicating the rotation direction; these must align with the sander's motor rotation.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity to maintain the integrity of the abrasive backing.
Adjust the tracking knob while the machine is running at a low speed until the belt stays centered.
Use a specialized abrasive cleaning stick to remove built-up dust and debris from the grit.
Check that the tension is not set too high and inspect the rollers for any debris buildup that might cause uneven pressure.
To install the SB0018, ensure the power to your sander is disconnected. Loosen the tensioning lever on your belt sander, remove the worn belt, and slide the new 150 x 1220mm belt over the rollers. Ensure the directional arrows on the inside of the belt match the rotational direction of your sander's motor. After installation, tighten the tension and rotate the belt by hand to verify tracking; use the tracking adjustment knob to center the belt on the platens. For care, avoid using the belt on surfaces contaminated with oil or grease, as these substances will clog the abrasive grit and reduce cutting efficiency.
