The Amazon Basics Foldable Pet Playpen is an excellent solution for small pet owners needing a portable, secure enclosure for indoor or outdoor environments. It provides a spacious, well-ventilated area for pets like dogs, cats, rabbits, or guinea pigs to roam safely, though its lightweight, soft-sided construction means it is best suited for supervised play rather than long-term containment of determined chewers or large, high-energy animals.

FAQs
Can this be used outdoors?
Yes, it is designed for both indoor and outdoor use, provided the weather conditions are mild.
Is the floor waterproof?
The floor is made of durable material, but it is not completely leak-proof; it is recommended to place a puppy pad underneath if your pet is not house-trained.
How do I store it when not in use?
The playpen collapses into a flat, compact shape, allowing it to be stored in closets, under beds, or in a vehicle.
Is the top cover removable?
Yes, the mesh top can typically be removed to allow for easier access to your pet from above.
What is the diameter of the 114 cm model?
The 114 cm measurement refers to the width, providing a spacious octagonal environment for your small pets.
Troubleshooting
The playpen feels unstable on slippery floors.
Place a rug or a non-slip mat underneath the playpen to prevent it from sliding during active play.
The mesh is starting to fray.
Check if your pet is clawing at the mesh. Trim your pet's nails regularly and provide alternative toys inside the pen to redirect their attention.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the playpen is a straightforward process: simply unfold the structure and secure the panels as directed. The playpen is compatible with a wide range of small to medium-sized pets. For care and maintenance, wipe down the floor and interior walls with a damp cloth and mild, pet-safe soap after use to manage accidents or shedding. Ensure the unit is completely dry before folding it to prevent mildew or odors from developing in the fabric. Store the playpen in a cool, dry place when not in active use to maintain the integrity of the mesh and reinforced seams.
