Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Preparation: Ensure your wall or ceiling surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or loose debris. Use a spirit level to mark your starting point and ensure a straight installation.
- Cutting to Size: If panels need to be trimmed, use a fine-tooth saw for the wooden slats and a sharp utility knife or scissors for the felt backing. Measure twice, cut once for precise fits.
- Installation Method:
- Screwing: For a secure, long-term fix, screw the panels directly into the wall or ceiling through the felt backing between the slats. Use appropriate screws and wall plugs for your surface type.
- Gluing: Apply a strong construction adhesive (e.g., grab adhesive) to the back of the felt. Press the panel firmly onto the surface and hold until the adhesive grips.
- Arrangement: Panels can be installed horizontally or vertically. For a seamless look, align panels closely and ensure the grain direction is consistent (unless a varied pattern is desired).
Compatibility
These panels are highly versatile and compatible with various interior environments:
- Surfaces: Walls (plasterboard, concrete, wood) and ceilings.
- Rooms: Bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, home offices, gyms, recording studios, and other indoor residential or commercial spaces.
- Orientation: Can be installed horizontally or vertically to fit your design preference.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the panels, gently wipe them with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, which could damage the wood or laminate finish.
- Dusting: Regular dusting with a soft, dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment will keep the panels looking their best.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use chemical solvents or harsh cleaning agents, as these can strip the laminate finish or damage the wood.
